Our Team

Joel Woltjen

Joel Woltjen grew up in New Jersey.  Upon graduating high school early he attended the Delehanty Institute of Technology in Brooklyn where he earned a Certificate in Automotive Technology.  He worked for several years in central Jersey as an automotive technician.

Using his knowledge and skill as an automotive technician, Joel was able to work to put himself through College.  He attended Colorado State University, where in just five years, while working full time, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Automotive Industry Management (AIM,) and Computer Science, with a minor in Business Administration.  In addition, he became a Emergency Medical Technician.

After College, he accepted a position with Chrysler Corporation as a District Manager.  During his career with Chrysler spanning 20 years he held the following positions:

  • Western Regional Technology and Training Manager
  • Western Regional Marketing Manager
  • Los Angeles Zone Customer Relations Manager
  • National Customer Relations Operations and Technology Manager
  • Assistant Zone Manager Sales and Marketing – Denver Zone
  • Dealer Operations Manager – Denver Business Center
  • Dealer Marketing Manager – Denver Business Center

In 2003, Joel left Chrysler Corporation to become a partner and the Marketing and Operations Manager for Champion Auto Group in Northern Colorado.  In 2009, the FDIC closed New Frontier Bank, Champion’s primary local lender and the Obama Administration announced the closure of Chrysler Financial, Champion’s floorplan lender.  With the state of the financial crisis and with General Motors and Chrysler Corporation both in federal bankruptcy proceedings, Champion was unable to secure new lending sources and was forced to close.

Joel then teamed up Beth Oden to form Gatsbo Marketing.  Leveraging 30 years of sales and marketing experience along with a solid knowledge of computer technology, Gatsbo Marketing specializes in Social Media Marketing.

Beth Oden

Beth,has always loved bringing people together, sharing new ideas and promoting individuals.

At age ten, she organized her friends into a network of babysitters that earned them spending money for candy, movies and adventures.  As a Midwestern teen she pioneered fundraising events in her community and took a leadership role in student academic clubs and varsity sports.

Beth is a lifelong learner and avid reader, finishing at least one book per week far as long as she can remember.  Inspired by her love of sports and the outdoors, Beth earned a Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the College of Saint Mary.  She then pursued a Master’s of Education in Organizational Learning and Instructional Technologies at the University of New Mexico.  After taking a career break to raise two sons, Beth returned to school at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition with a certification in health counseling from Columbia University’s Teachers College in New York City.  She has studied under natural health and nutrition experts Marion Nestle, Barry Sears, Mark Hyman and Deepak Chopra.

Beth’s expertise in designing, developing and delivering cost-effective programs for non-profit and for-profit environments has opened up opportunities across the globe.  One of her first positions after college was Director of Women’s Fitness for a community of 6,000 health professionals from thirty-six different countries at King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia.  What an experience!

Prior to establishing Gatsbo Marketing with Joel Woltjen, Beth enjoyed an esteemed career in executive coaching and facilitating organizational change.  She supported a variety of businesses, including DaimlerChrysler and Toyota, in achieving unparalleled standards of excellence.

As the Co-Founder of Gatsbo Marketin, Beth combines her talents for organizing information, teaching/coaching individuals and inspiring communities to help business owners promote their brand through social media.  Beth is committed to supporting businesses to achieving results oriented goals and creating sustainable business practices.
